Tony Evans

Tony.jpgTony Evans is a crafter of horror and dark fiction, father, and wildlife biologist. Originally from the Appalachian foothills of eastern Kentucky, Tony grew up listening to stories of mountain monsters and “holler witches,” and his writing tends to reflect the culture and folk-tales of the area. While he enjoys all types of horror, Tony prefers stories about dark entities, demons, and other supernatural boogers that may be hiding under the bed or in the closet. Though he doesn’t believe in them, the thought of seeing something he can’t explain terrifies him to his very core… along with cockroaches.

His writing influences include: Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, and Ray Bradbury, whose early work and short fiction leaves him wondering where ‘true horror’ has gone. He currently lives in Bardstown, Kentucky where he spends his time with his wife and two young daughters—his favorite little monsters.

His work can be found in Sacrifice by Thirteen O’Clock Press, Cthulhu Christmas Special in Deadman’s TomeRevenge by Thirteen O’Clock Press, Dark Dossier #19Shit Fest by Deadman’s Tome, Strangely Funny: Volume 5 by Mystery and Horror, LLC, Locked In by Thirteen O’Clock Press, with a forthcoming publication in Ghostlight: The Magazine of Terror.
