Tom Howard

TomHowardWhile working as a technical writer for corporate America, I had the good fortune to be assigned a writing partner, Cynthia Round, a young woman who jumped in front of many bullets aimed at me by mid-management.  While I tend to run projects by the seat of my pants, Cynthia was the queen of documenting every detail and saved our butts on many occasions (while looking like she stepped out of a fashion magazine).

One IBM rep, after watching us work together through the late hours of the night, called us “Bonnie and Clyde” and said other departments should be afraid of us.  I like to think that they were.  Like the wizard and witch encountering a deadly and dangerous obstacle in my story, I think my Miss Crenshaw and I would have survived and she’d have looked fabulous at the end.
