Jessica Julien

Born in the picturesque state of Washington, Jessica Julien is a stay at home mom, wife, co-owner of a small bookish shop, and avid wanderluster. When not curating book boxes, or folding laundry, she spends her time penning young adult novels centered in mystical, supernatural fantasies with a dash of magic and romance. Jessica’s work is inspired by her love of all things dark and twisty including works by Edgar Allan Poe, Ellen Hopkins, Tim Burton films, and more. With her vivacious imagination and witty personality, she constructs unique realities and relatable characters that readers can’t help but hate to love and love to hate.

In her free time, Jessica can be found enjoying a cup of dark roasted coffee while snuggling under a blanket with a good book or watching The Office with her son, Wesley. When the weather is decent, she hops in the car with her husband and Wesley to road trip across the country where she delights in eating red vines, sipping iced lattes, and singing loudly in the passenger seat. While Jessica has lived in all corners of the U.S.A. and prefers vacationing in the south, her heart always returns to the beauty of the PNW where she lives off pumpkin pie, s’mores, quaint bookstores, and local legends and lore.
