Laura Campbell is the author of Blue Team One and Five Houses. She has also had over two dozen short stories published to date, primarily in the horror/dark fiction and science fiction genres.
She has lived on the West Coast (California, Washington) and East Coast (Georgia), as well as the United Kingdom and Greece. She currently makes her home in Houston, Texas. Growing up in Houston and living in El Lago, with her father working at NASA, Laura was heavily influenced by the space industry. But there are also oil-and-gas fields, Galveston beaches, cattle grazing in nearby pastures, gritty downtown landscapes, the world’s leading Medical Center, abandoned buildings, world-class museums, baseball, football, basketball, occasional hurricanes, infamous Houston summer heat, and bayous to fuel her imagination with story ideas.
When she isn’t writing, Laura is either running, attending rock concerts, or sipping inexpensive wine.
